Brookings High School seniors Kestlyn Willert and Anna Bishop were honored as the Brookings Rotary Club’s December Students of the Month.
Willert is the daughter of Klint and April Willert of Aurora. Some of her in-school activities have included: FFA, Thespians, chorus, vocal jazz, National Honor Society, BHS marching band, BHS dance team, and BHS wrestling management. Outside of school, she is involved with 4-H, Youth Group, National Junior Charolais Association, and as an Aksarben Calf Challenge participant. She has held a variety of offices in FFA and 4-H and has won numerous letters in activities such as athletics, dance team and chorus.
Willert plans to attend either Kansas State University or Oklahoma State University to study agricultural business.
Bishop is the daughter of Rob and Janelle Bishop of Brookings. Some of her in-school activities have included: sideline cheerleading, FCCLA, Spanish club, HOSA, National Honor Society, Monogram Club, and competitive cheerleading. Outside of school, she is involved in youth group and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Her honors and offices include FCCLA vice president of membership and Monogram Club sideline cheer representative.
Bishop plans to attend South Dakota State University to study pharmacy.
