BROOKINGS – The City of Brookings’ Public Works Department will begin road reconstruction and storm sewer installation at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Remington Circle starting Tuesday.
The work will include removal of the existing asphalt surface and turning it into gravel, replacement of ramps, storm sewer installation, and new asphalt surface. The project will last approximately four weeks. Traffic access will be limited during this time.
“We would like to remind the public to be cautious when driving or walking near the project area, especially around work areas under construction. We understand there will be short-term inconveniences throughout the project, and we appreciate working together with you on any issues. Thank you for your patience during this project,” a city news release says.
Issues related to construction items can be directed to the City Engineering Office at 605-692-6629.
