Sunday, Sept. 18
12:46 a.m. An officer with the Brookings PD initiated a traffic stop in the 400 block of Fourth Street. The driver of the vehicle fled, and a pursuit was initiated. Three subjects were taken into custody after the suspect vehicle caught fire.
4:17 p.m. The Brookings Ambulance and Brookings Police Department responded to a report of an individual who had been assaulted in the 1000 block of Western Avenue. An arrest has been made.
8:01 p.m. Dispatch notified Brookings Police officers of a traffic complaint in the 200 block of Medary Avenue South. The vehicle was located, and the driver was cited for various drug offenses.
8:47 p.m. Brookings Police officers responded to the 100 block of Second Avenue South for a report of suspicious activity. After an investigation, one male was arrested and two juveniles were cited.
11:48 p.m. Brookings Police officers responded to the 600 block of Medary Avenue South for a report of a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, a male was arrested.
