5:32 a.m. Officers took a report of cash being taken out of an individual’s vehicle in the 500 block of Sixth Avenue South. A reported $120 was taken, and no signs of forced entry were observed. A report was made.
8:23 a.m. Officer Hart took a report regarding a runaway juvenile. The juvenile was later located, and charges for criminal trespass after notice are pending.
11:06 a.m. Officer Schneider was made aware of an assault that had just taken place in the hallway of Brookings High School. An investigation was made, and charges are pending.
1:45 p.m. Officers took a call regarding a runaway. The juvenile was located and taken into custody.
1:57 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Willow Springs Circle for a runaway juvenile who was trespassing at a residence. One juvenile was placed under arrest and transported to Sioux Falls. A report filed.
4:05 p.m. Officer Hart took a report of grand theft from the 1400 block of Sixth Street. An investigation is ongoing.
5:02 p.m. Dispatch notified Brookings Police officers of a single-vehicle motorcycle accident in the 1600 block of Seventh Street. The driver was transported for medical treatment to a local hospital and charged on complaint for DUI.
7:53 p.m. Officers responded to the 1800 Block of Ohio Drive in report of an active domestic assault. Upon arrival and further investigation, one male was arrested and charged with simple assault-domestic and violation of a protection order.
