3:17 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of 22nd Avenue and Third Street for a two-vehicle, minor-injury accident. A report was completed.

3:40 p.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg was dispatched to the 900 block of Southland Lane for a report of a possible trespassing. The incident is under investigation.

4:39 p.m. Law enforcement investigated a child abuse incident. One male was arrested.

9:09 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver was arrested for zero tolerance DUI involving marijuana.

9:47 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DUI.

Wednesday, Sept. 8

7:24 a.m. Brookings Police responded to a minor crash in 2300 block of Sixth Street.

12:30 p.m. Officer Schneider took a report of a juvenile who has not been home in several weeks. An investigation was made, and charges are pending.

1:53 p.m. The Brookings Police Department investigated suspicious activity in the 2400 block of Sixth Street.

2:45 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a non-injury crash report in the 300 block of 22nd Avenue.

9:28 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

10:35 p.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Eighth Street South for an equipment violation. During the traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

11:41 p.m. Dispatch notified Brookings Police officers of an argument in the 100 block of Ninth Street. Through the course of the investigation, a female was arrested for simple assault (domestic).
