9:15 a.m. Sgt. Weinrich took an agency assist report from Sioux Falls. A report was generated.

1:50 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for a license plate violation. Drug items were located inside the vehicle.

3:03 p.m. Officers were requested for a welfare check in the 1000 block of Southland Lane. A male was discovered deceased in his residence.

4:04 p.m. Brookings Police took a report of a sexual assault which occurred 17 years ago.

4:32 p.m. Brookings Police responded to Lamplighter Village for a report of an unresponsive female. A report was filed.

Tuesday, April 20

12:33 p.m. Brookings Police conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, drug items were located and one male was placed under arrest.

Wednesday, April 21

10:34 a.m. Detective Smith took a report of possible child abuse that occurred in Clay County. The report has been forwarded to Clay County for follow up.

11:23 a.m. The Brookings Police Department received a report of suspicious activity at the Brookings Liquor Store located at 700 22nd Ave. S. The three male suspects were located along with their vehicle.

2:14 p.m. School Resource Officer Warkenthien was made aware of excessive absence of school involving students. An investigation was made, and a report has been filed with pending charges.

8:01 p.m. Officers took a report of fraud in the 600 block of Faculty Drive. A report was filed.
