Monday, Dec. 28
12:53 a.m. Officer Pollman conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Medary Avenue South. An investigation was performed, and one male was arrested for DUI. The passenger was arrested on an outstanding Brookings County warrant. A report was generated.
1:55 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a minor accident. A report was filed.
3:18 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of a weapons law violation in the 1300 block of Sixth Street. A report was filed and being investigated.
3:50 p.m. Animal bite/scratch/attack
Tuesday, Dec. 29
9:25 a.m. Brookings Police responded to a hit-and-run accident. A report was filed.
2:34 p.m. Officer Warkenthien took a report in regard to a Department of Social Services referral. An investigation was made, and a report has been filed for documentation.
6:32 p.m. Department of Social Services referral
Wednesday, Dec. 30
11:04 a.m. Brookings Police received a report of a burglary. Jewelry and coins were reported stolen.
5:18 p.m. Officer Warkenthien responded to the 3200 block of Western Avenue South for a report of a domestic. An investigation was made, and a male was arrested for simple assault domestic. A report has been filed.
6:15 p.m. Welfare check
Thursday, Dec. 31
1:42 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Third Avenue. An investigation was performed, and one male was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was generated.
10:55 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the Quality Inn for a reported assault. The incident is currently under investigation.
3:06 p.m. Brookings Police generated a report in regard to stolen medication from a residence.
