Phase 1 of the Sixth Street construction project, the portion that opened Thursday, is from Main Avenue to Seventh Avenue.

BROOKINGS – The South Dakota Department of Transportation says part of the Sixth Street construction project in Brookings opened to traffic Thursday.
Phase 1 of the Sixth Street construction project, the portion that opened Thursday, is from Main Avenue to Seventh Avenue.
Phase 2, from Seventh Avenue to Medary Avenue, currently has base course placement in progress with concrete paving to commence the week of July 27.
Following the opening of Phase 1 to traffic, the detour has been adjusted to Seventh Avenue, Eighth Street and Medary Avenue.
