BROOKINGS – Six stop signs were installed Friday by the Brookings Street Department on Summit Pass.

Two were put in where Summit Pass intersects with Powderhorn Pass and Copper Mountain Road, and four were put up where Summit Pass intersects with Powderhorn Pass and Telluride Lane.

The Brookings Traffic Safety Committee approved four-way stop signs at the intersection of Summit Pass and Telluride Lane/Powderhorn Pass after hearing input from neighborhood residents, many of whom supported the signs, according to an attachment to the Aug. 28 City Council agenda.

The Brookings City Council approved the six stop signs being installed during the Aug. 28 meeting.
