BROOKINGS – Don’t miss your last chance to be at Downtown at Sundown this summer. The Brookings Convention & Visitors Bureau is wrapping up another run of the free, seven-week concert series.
This Thursday’s performance features local opener Phil Carlson. Carlson is a local musician who brings a mix of fun and calm to the stage.
This week’s headliner is the Nathan Dean Band, taking the stage for an extra hour, until 10 p.m. This country band has energy that will last all night.
Downtown at Sundown has been held every Thursday night on Fifth Street in downtown Brookings and features local musicians, regional headliners, free face painting, inflatables, bag toss, and food and beverage vendors from local restaurants.
The event is open to all ages, and admission is free. The kid zone inflatables, face painting and bag toss are all free. Tickets must be purchased at the ticket booth to buy food and beverages. Each vendor is serving something different, ranging in price from one to seven tickets.
