Nancy M. Savage, 70, of Brookings, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 at Sanford USD Medical Center, Sioux Falls.  

Memorial services have been set for 10:30 am Friday, March 22, 2019, at Rude’s Funeral Home, Brookings.  Memorial Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at Rude’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be directed to the Brookings Area Domestic Abuse Shelter. 

Nancy M. Broer was born Jan. 11, 1949, in Randolph, NE ,the daughter of Henry and Francis (Thomas) Broer.  She attended Country School at District #22 in Nebraska, until her family moved to Luverne, MN, where she attended and graduated from Luverne High School. 

Nancy was united in marriage to Robin M. Savage on Jan. 6, 1968, in Luverne, MN.  They made their home in Brookings.

She started working for Brookings Telephone Company until moving to work for Brookings Municipal Utilities.  She worked in many different positions at BMU until her retirement in 2004. 

 In her retirement years she enjoyed spending her time at home with family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Robin M. Savage of Brookings; one son, Brian Savage of Brookings; two sisters, Patti Brodersen of Randolph, NE and Vicki (HB) Wilken of Minneapolis, MN along with one grandson, Erik Savage of Springfield, MO.

 Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Barbara (Dean) Stingley; one brother, Larry Broer; one brother-in-law, Don Brodersen.
