BROOKINGS – A Sioux Falls man was injured after he was trapped between two vehicles Wednesday, according to Brookings Police.

Todd Coker, 28, of Sioux Falls, was taken by Brookings Ambulance to the Brookings hospital, then transported to a hospital in Sioux Falls, said Lt. Marci Gebers. She did not know the extent of Coker’s injuries.

The accident was reported at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday and occurred in the 1800 block of 32nd Avenue at WW Tire Service Inc., Gebers said.

Officers arrived to find Coker bodily pinned between the two vehicles.

“They learned that an employee was backing out of one of their service bays and the victim, Todd, was pinned in between the WW Tire Service vehicle and his work vehicle, which was a K&M Tire truck,” Gebers said.

K&M Tire has a store in Sioux Falls, according to kmtire.com.

“The accident report’s not complete yet,” she said, so she was not certain how Coker got pinned, but “it sounded as though he was making a delivery.”

The preliminary report didn't indicate how long it took to extricate Coker or if the vehicles were damaged.
