BROOKINGS – The leisure pool area of the Hillcrest Aquatic Center will be closed for the remainder of the season, the City of Brookings announced Friday. All other pool areas will remain open.
Isolating and repairing the leak in the leisure pool system has taken longer than originally anticipated, according to the city news release.
Complete repairs to the piping and surrounding concrete will extend past the aquatic center’s Aug. 14 closing date.
The lap pool, water slides, concessions and free kid-die pool will remain open through Sunday.
