BROOKINGS – The Brookings Public Library will host a virtual talk titled “Nutrition and You” starting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, on Zoom. 

This talk will be led by Mary Dressing from Avera Group Integrative Medicine in Sioux Falls. The link and login information for this event can be found on the library’s website and Facebook page.

National Eating Disorder Awareness week is Feb. 22-28 and National Nutrition Month runs throughout the month of March. In observance of these two events, Dressing will present on how to make informed food choices, ways to develop healthy eating and exercise behaviors, and eating disorders.

Dressing is a mental health counselor, registered dietitian and licensed nutritionist who combines these skills to support and empower people to make healthy decisions. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of Idaho, Moscow, and her master’s degree from South Dakota State University. Dressing specializes in working with eating disorders and is also very interested in preventive health care.
