BROOKINGS – Do you remember catching and observing lightning bugs as a kid? Or have you ever observed the night sky through a telescope?

Scientist or not, you can participate in exciting scientific research around the world through citizen science.

Anne Lewis, special projects director at the South Dakota Discovery Center in Pierre, will join the Brookings Public Library on Zoom at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, to chat about how you can contribute to citizen science and talk about two of her favorite citizen science projects – iNaturalist and GLOBE Observer.

To find the Zoom link and additional information about this program, visit the Brookings Public Library website at www.brookingslibrary.org or the library’s Facebook page, @bkglib.

The mission of Brookings Public Library is to provide materials and information contributing to the education, recreation, and quality of life for the Brookings community.
