BROOKINGS – Despite the cold and rainy weekend, Brad Jordan and his two sons, Everett and Derek, enjoyed the annual Trout Extravaganza at the Indian Hills Pond on Sunday. The event was hosted by the Brookings Wildlife Federation and the Optimist Club and featured free fishing for children ages 14 and younger. Weather kept big crowds from the event Saturday and part of Sunday, but by Sunday afternoon the sky cleared, and families reeled in some trout to cap off their weekend.
