John Barney passed away peacefully at home near Brookings, on Jan. 1, 2022. Following John’s wishes, there will be no services held. Eidsness Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
John served as Chief Flight Instructor for the South Dakota State University Aviation FAR Part 141 Flight Training Program.
Survivors include his wife Dianna Torson; two brothers, Clarence and Tom Barney; step-children: Patricia Torson, Kim Hatloy, and Scott Randall and their children and grandchildren.
