Jody Wayne Page, 42, peacefully went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2018 while on a hunting trip with his friends near Lemmon.  

Jody was born May 20, 1976,  in Sioux Falls to Jerry and Cherry (Niewald) Page.  He was a 1994 graduate of West Central High School in Hartford and went on to receive his degree in civil engineering from South Dakota State University in May of 1999.  

On May 20, 2000, Jody married the love of his life, Tracy (Darrough), with whom he had two amazing daughters, Jordyn (10) and Reagan (8).  

Jody joined the 114th Fighter Wing Unit of the South Dakota Air National Guard upon graduating high school. 

At the time of his death he had attained the rank of Lt Colonel and was the Squadron Commander of the civil engineering squadron. Jody deployed to the Middle East for a total of three tours, with the last being in 2017.  He was awarded multiple decorations including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Air Force Achievement Medal.

As a civilian, Jody was employed with HDR Engineering for nearly 20 years, where he was recently selected for Associate Vice President and was the anchor of the HDR South Dakota Expansion into Rapid City 12 years ago.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters; his father, Jerry (Diana) Page; his mother, Cherry Page; his sister, Lisa (Scott) Raabe; his step sister, Jinny (Mike) Struck; as well as his many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family, which will be established at a later date. 

Visitation will be held from 9:30-11 a.m., with funeral services starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Rapid City.  Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
