BROOKINGS – The South Dakota State women's basketball team raised $12,550 for the Edith Sanford Breast Foundation with the sale of its pink Under Armour jerseys Feb. 8.

"Once again, the Jacks and their incredible fans have outdone themselves in their support for Edith Sanford," Micah Aberson, executive vice president of Sanford Health Foundation, said. "We're proud to say that 100 percent of every dollar raised from the jersey auction will help advance cutting-edge research and deliver the highest standard of breast cancer care to women and men across the region."

The Jackrabbits' Under Armour pink jerseys were auctioned immediately following their win over Oral Roberts and sold for between $200 and $3,100.

"Thank you to everyone who participated in our Think Pink game," Aaron Johnston, South Dakota State women's basketball head coach, said. "The event continues to grow in interest and support. We also want to thank the good people at the Edith Sanford Breast Foundation for supporting our event and continuing to raise awareness and resources to help fight a difficult disease."

The Jackrabbits (20-6, 10-3) return to action with a game against Summit League co-leader Western Illinois (19-6, 10-3) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Macomb, Ill.
