Youngsters from kindergarten through sixth-grade can take part in the free kids’ run being held in conjunction with the Jack 15 road race on Saturday.

The kids’ run, which is being coordinated by the SDSU Wellness Center, has mapped out routes of one-tenth of a mile for the youngest runners and quarter- and half-mile for older children. All routes as well as event signup is near the Coughlin Campanile on the South Dakota State University campus.

Races begin at 10:45 a.m. T-shirts are given at signup, which begins at 10:15 a.m.

While the race is free, a liability release is required. The race is conducted under the auspices of Prairie Striders running club with sponsorship by Willert Chiro-practic, Bisson Dental and Brookings Optimist Club.
