DENVER – South Dakota State’s Makenzie Hennen was an All-Summit League volleyball honorable mention.
Votes by the league’s head coaches determined the all-league awards.
“Kenzie came into her own this fall and was our rock on the court all season,” fourth-year SDSU coach Nicole Cirillo said. “We put so much pressure on her to perform at a high level and get us out of trouble in both the front and back rows and she responded.”
The junior from Jordan, Minn., is the first Jackrabbit since Ashley Beaner in 2016 and the eighth overall to earn all-league honors.
She led the Jackrabbits in kills (340) and kills per set (3.27). The outside hitter recorded 10 matches with double-digit kills, including seven Summit League matches. The 2016 Summit League All-Freshman Team member collected 13 double-doubles and hit higher than .200 percent in 13 matches.
