BROOKINGS – Hay bales caught fire, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The fire was reported at 6:48 a.m. Wednesday on 215th Street near 468th Avenue, just west of Brookings, said Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring.
“It was found that two round grass hay bales were on fire. Brookings Fire put the fire out. The two bales were a total loss and valued at $100,” Sebring said.
The fire is under the investigation by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
