BROOKINGS – Five businesses in Brookings failed recent alcohol compliance checks.
Overall, 15 businesses were checked, Detective Adam Smith with the Brookings Police Department said. The businesses that sold alcohol to a minor were:
• Casey’s General Store on West Sixth Street
• Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant
• Buffalo Wild Wings
• Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh
• North Schoon’s Pump ‘n Pak
Smith said that the employees who sold alcohol to the minor were issued citations and will have to appear in court for the violation. He added that the businesses also faces fines from the state for the sale of alcohol to a minor.
