Elizabeth Ann Lee, 88, of Flandreau, died Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, at Riverview Healthcare Community in Flandreau. 

Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Flandreau with burial in Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Cemetery.

Liz was born Feb. 14, 1929, to Frank and Mary (Pugel) Noes in Ashland, Wisconsin.  Liz taught school in Grandview, Wisconisn, and Minneapolis and then she attended the University of Wisconsin to further her studies.  

While there she met her husband Vernon.  They were married Sept. 22, 1962, at Madison, Wisconsin.  Liz taught school in Germany after their marriage when they were stationed there.  Liz was very musically talented.  She played the piano, guitar and trumpet.  Music was a joy for her.  Liz and Vern travelled extensively for his job as an entomologist.  Her passport listed 58 countries.  Liz and Vern retired to Flandreau in 1983.  She was a member of Ss. Simon & Jude Catholic Church. 

Liz is survived by her brother John (Ruth) Noes of Brooklyn Center, Minneosta. and many nieces and nephews. 

Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon (March 26, 2005), parents, brother Frank and sisters, Mary (Voltare) Senecaut and Agnes (Louis) Simonich.
