Elisabeth Todd Roberts Finnie, 96, died Monday, April 3, 2017.
Burial is at Greenwood Cemetery in Brookings. Betty requested no service.
Elisabeth Todd Roberts Finnie was born July 11, 1920, in Brookings to John H. and Elsie (Leekley) Roberts. She attended Brookings Schools and graduated from Brookings High School in 1938. On May 31, 1946, she married Dale M. Finnie in Brookings.
She was employed as secretary to attorney E.A. Berke, cashier at Cole’s Department Store and worked at Norwest Bank, later becoming Wells Fargo Bank for 31 years, beginning as a typist and retiring in 1983 as a personal banking officer.
Elisabeth (Betty) was a member of the Christian Science Church.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and Brookings Business and Professional Women’s Club. And served as State Treasure to the South Dakota Business and Professional Women’s Club. She was a charter member of the Brookings Altrusa Club.
Her grandchildren were a big blessing and enjoyment for her.
Survivors are one son, Todd of Vancouver,Wash., one grandson, Christopher Dale, two step grandchildren, Kirsten and Jonathan, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by, a sister, Maxine, and three brothers, Jack, Owen Richard and Robert, and her husband Dale.
