Delores D. Haroldson, 94, of Estelline, SD, formerly of Bruce, SD, passed away Monday, Jan. 10 2022, at the Estelline Nursing and Care Center, Estelline, SD.  
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m.  Saturday, Jan. 15, at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brookings, SD.  
Due to forecasted weather Visitation will be moved to 4 to 6  p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at Rude’s Funeral Home, Brookings, SD.  The funeral service will be livestreamed on the Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church website for the public to view at https://www.oslcbrookings.net/page/online-worship
 Delores D. Glatzel was born June 19, 1927, in Brookings, SD, the daughter of Fred and Nellie (Blumeyer) Glatzel.  She grew up and attended school in the Bruce area, graduating from Bruce High School in 1945.  
Delores was united in marriage to Donald F. Haroldson on Nov. 7, 1945, in Bruce, SD.  
The couple made their home on the farm northwest of Bruce. Delores started baking wedding cakes with her sisters, and later she began catering weddings and other events in the area. She enjoyed tending to her large flower beds and collecting dolls.
She followed her children and grandchildren’s activities attending many music, sporting and theater activities with her husband, Don. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid, the Red Hat Ladies, was a 4-H leader and Sons of Norway member where she served as president (pretty special for a German girl!)
Delores and Don traveled the world visiting Russia, the Middle East, Africa, India, South America, China and many other countries. She loved shopping for dolls and other collectibles during these trips.
Delores is survived by her son, Gaylord (Ann) Haroldson of Bruce, SD; daughter, Melanie (Bob) Settje of Kettle Falls, WA; seven grandchildren, Trisha (Ryan) Murphy of Sioux Falls, SD, Kyle (Isabela) Haroldson of Bruce, SD, Kellen Haroldson of Fort Worth, TX, Britt (Alicia) Haroldson of Sioux Falls, SD, Tasha (Richard) Chang of Seattle, WA, Jack Settje of Fayetteville, AR and Nick Settje of Amsterdam, Netherlands; eleven great-grandchildren, Rowan, Finnian, Declan and Bergen Murphy, Iara and Amalia Haroldson, Bodie, Everest and Shaw Haroldson, Wesley and Max Chang and a sister-in-law, Doris Glatzel, Brookings, SD.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; brother, Gene Glatzel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ernola (Bill) Feige and Donna Jean (Ralph) Schwartz and sister-in-law, Gerry (Richard) Wulff.
Delores is survived by her son, Gaylord (Ann) Haroldson of Bruce, SD; daughter Melanie (Bob) Settje of Kettle Falls, WA; seven grandchildren, Trisha (Ryan) Murphy of Sioux Falls, SD; Kyle (Isabela) Haroldson of Bruce, SD;  Kellen Haroldson of Fort Worth, TX; Britt (Alicia) Haroldson of Sioux Falls, SD;  Tasha (Richard) Chang of Seattle, WA; Jack Settje of Fayetteville, AR; and Nick Settje of Amsterdam, Netherlands;  eleven great-grandchildren, Rowan, Finnian, Declan, and Bergen Murphy, Iara and Amalia Haroldson, Bodie, Everest and Shaw Haroldson, Wesley and Max Chang and sister-in-law Doris Glatzel, Brookings, SD.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; brother, Gene Glatzel; sisters and brothers-in-laws, Ernola (Bill) Feige and Donna Jean (Ralph) Schwartz and sister-in-law, Gerry (Richard) Wulff.
