MONTROSE – McCook Central/Montrose led 15-6 after a quarter and 34-20 en route to a 67-45 regular-season-ending defeat of Sioux Valley in a girls’ basketball game Friday night.
It was 52-38 through three.
Madisen Koepsell scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Fighting Cougars.
Ashtyn Wobig added 19 and six, while Maggie Miles dished out 10 assists.
The Cossacks’ Reagan Johnson totaled 16 points and nine boards. Isabelle Bloker added 11 markers and Julia Schneider eight.
McCook Central/Montrose ended the season with a 15-5 record and Sioux Valley ended up 11-9.
The Cossacks are host to Clark/Willow Lake to open Region 2A play Tuesday at 7 p.m.
