BROOKINGS – South Dakota State University juniors Bailey Cords and Megan Hudecek will hold a joint recital at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus.
Cords, a music education major from Janesville, Minnesota, will perform works in English, German and Italian by Aaron Copland, Francesco Durante, Alessandro Scarlatti, Robert Schumann and Giuseppe Torelli. She will be assisted by Deb Kalsbeck. Cords participates in the SDSU Concert Choir and the SDSU Opera Workshop. In addition to being part of the St. Thomas More Church Choir, she is a church organist and has been director of the South Dakota FFA Chorus.
Hudecek, who is majoring in psychology and music performance, is from Sioux Falls. She plays the clarinet and will perform works by Edward Knight and Miklos Rozsa and will be assisted by Brady DeBelts.
