Colman-Egan girls’ win team title in Baltic

BALTIC – The Colman-Egan girls swept the relays and won the team title at the Baltic Invitational on Tuesday.

The Hawks totaled 160.6 team points to top second-place Deubrook Area (121.5). Elkton-Lake Benton (24.6) ended up ninth.

Olivia Baumberger, Elizabeth Moore, Lanie Mousel and Daniela Lee won the 4x100-meter relay in 52.54 seconds.

Baumberger, Moore, Lee and Josie Mousel prevailed in the 4x200 with a 1:48.73 clocking.

In the 4x400, Josie Mousel, Mackenzie Hemmer, Baumberger and Reese Luze posted a time of 4:23.04.

Presley Luze, Abby Rhode, Elaina Rhode and Brynlee Landis crossed first in the 4x800 in 10:37.18.

Moore, Lanie Mousel, Lee and Landis won the medley in 4:37.3.

Josie Mousel placed first in the 200 in 26.24 seconds and cleared 4 feet, 10 inches to take the high jump crown.

Mackenzie Hemmer took the triple jump title with a mark of 34-1. She was second in the 300-meter hurdles (49.56) seconds and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (18.47).

Reese Luze won the 800 in 2:27.82 and was runner-up in the 400 in 1:01.4.

Baumberger added a victory in the long jump with a leap of 17-6 1/2.

Lanie Mousel placed third in the 200 (28.37) and seventh in the triple jump (30-9 1/2).

Lee took third in the 100 (12.73) and Hailey Larson matched that finish in the triple jump (32-1).

Elaina Rhode logged fifth-place finishes in the 800 (2:42.69) and high jump (4-6) while also taking sixth in the 400 (1:07.15).

Presley Luze finished sixth in the 300 hurdles (52.67) and seventh in the 800 (2:43.57).

Abby Rhode crossed sixth in the 1,600 (6:17.23). Landis tied for seventh in the high jump (4-2).

The Dolphins’ Brooke Koppatschek, Delaney Pedersen, Miranda Moravetz and Kylie Ramlo placed second in the 4x200 in 1:54.61.

Koppatschek, Andrea Vandermeer, Moravetz and Ramlo were runners-up in the 4x400 in 4:25.44.

Kyarra Blum, Vandermeer, Pedersen and Taylor Ekern took second in the 4x800 with a time of 10:42.18.

Akasha Gorecki, Kadence Bowne, Catherine Klein and Kylie Ramlo crossed third in the 4x100 in 55.45. Bowne, ElleAnna Hansen, Moravetz and Pedersen matched that finish in the medley in 4:46.7.

Ellie Olsen placed second in both the 1,600 (5:44.66) and 3,200 (12:40.92).

Carley Landmark was second in the 100 hurdles (16.83). Vandermeer finished third in the 300 hurdles (52.09) and Koppatschek ended up third in the long jump (14-9 1/2).

The Lady Elks’ Julia Drietz placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 32-2 1/2.

Boys

Chester Area won the team crown with 130.5 points and the host Bulldogs (96.33) were second.

The Elks (82.33) were fifth, Dolphins (66) sixth and Hawks (42.33) ninth.

ELB’s Isaac Jaacks placed second in both hurdle events, posting a time of 16.31 seconds in the 110 and 43.02 in the 300.

Mason Ramlo cleared 5-6 3/4 in the high jump for second. Miles Harming crossed third in the 3,200 in 12:08.53.

Deubrook’s Gavin Landmark, Treven Grimsrud, JP Rogness and Parker Crooks won the 4x400 relay in 3:43.39.

Crooks placed first in the 800 with a 2:08.43 clocking.

Grimsrud was second in the 200 (23.46) and third in the 400 (54.76).

Colton Trooien was runner-up in the 3,200 (11:50.6).

Crooks, Landmark, Rogness and Jaxon Quail placed third in the 4x800 in 8:56.89.

CE’s Christopher Lee, Cole Hannasch, Weston Miles and Easton Williamson were third in the 4x100 in 49.25.

Austin Gullickson took third in the 110 hurdles (18.55) and Kelby Voelker matched that finish in the shot put (41-1 1/2).
