Cash stolen

VOLGA – A woman reported money was stolen while she was at a seminar in Volga on Saturday, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.

The theft was reported on Wednesday and occurred in the 100 block of Samara in Volga, said Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring.

“A resident of Minnesota reported the theft of an undisclosed amount of cash from her purse,” Sebring said. “She said at one point during the seminar her purse was left unattended for just a couple minutes. She realized the following day that the cash was missing.”

The incident is under investigation by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
