Burdick breaks facility record in mile at NDSU

FARGO, N.D. – South Dakota State’s Kyle Burdick won the men’s mile run during the Thundering Herd Classic on Saturday and broke the Shelly Ellid Indoor Track and Field Facility record in the process.

The senior from Rapid City crossed in a time of 4 minutes, 6 seconds – breaking the previous facility mark by 1.93 seconds.

Burdick’s PR in the event is 4:04.89, which is the third fastest in school history.

Rod HeHaven has the Jackrabbit record at 4:00.95, set in 1987, and Nick Burrow (1999) is second at 4:03.71.
