WHITE – A Brookings County teen has been identified as the person who died Thursday morning in a one-vehicle crash 5 miles north of White.
A 2001 Chevrolet Malibu was southbound on 478th Avenue about 8:30 a.m. Thursday when the vehicle left the roadway and eventually hit a tree.
Sean Blom, who was the 18-year-old driver, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only occupant and was wearing a seat belt.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
