Wednesday, March 1

  • 7:08 a.m. Officers responded to a medical call.
  • 9:13 a.m. Officer Schneider received a report of a runaway juvenile. An investigation was made and the juvenile was later located.
  • 3:44 p.m. Officers took a report of a protection order violation.

Thursday, March 2

  • 12:28 a.m. Police officers took a report of vandalism
  • 11:49 a.m. Police took a report of elder financial abuse.
  • 1:20 p.m. Law enforcement investigated a three-vehicle accident.
  • 3:30 p.m. Officers responded to a report of grand theft.
  • 8:28 p.m. BPD was requested to Lewis Drug for a trespassing issue. One female was arrested for inhaling electronic duster
  • 11:33 p.m. BPD stopped a vehicle operating without lights. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Friday, March 3

  • 12:28 a.m. BPD stopped a vehicle which led to obtaining a wanted person’s whereabouts. The person barricaded and was seen throwing drug items out the window. Charges will be filed
  • 1:16 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near the 200 block of Main Avenue South. One male was arrested for DUI.
  • 2:02 a.m. Brookings Police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Fifth Avenue South for a traffic violation. The driver was later arrested for driving under the influence.
  • 7:54 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the 2500 block of Sixth Street. One female was arrested for drug-related charges.
  • 11:16 a.m. Officer Schneider received a report of a possible domestic assault that occurred. The incident is under investigation.
  • 3:37 p.m. Officers responded to an unattended death.
  • 11:29 p.m. Officers completed a traffic stop near the intersection of Division Street and Second Street South One male was arrested for DUI.
