Monday Dec. 26
12:57 p.m. Officers received a report of a hit and run that occurred in the 2200 Block of Sixth Street. A report was generated.
1:25 p.m. Officer took a walk-in report of harassment.
1:36 p.m. Police were called to a residence for a female destroying property. One female was placed on a protective custody hold.
Tuesday, Dec. 27
11:29 a.m. The Brookings Police Department received a call regarding a hit and run accident that occurred in the Walmart parking lot near the 22nd Ave entrance. The suspect vehicle was described as a late 1990s blue or purple Jeep Grand Cherokee. The vehicle was not located in the area. A report was generated.
3:59 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the DMV for an individual who brought fake documents to their office. After a short investigation, the individual was arrested for possession of a forged instrument and identit y theft.
4:51 p.m. Officers took a theft report.
Wednesday, Dec. 28
5:04 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a ongoing domestic disturbance. A male was arrested.
11:23 a.m. Police took a report in regard to damaged property.
1:31 p.m. Officers received a trespassing report.
3:27 p.m. Officers were made aware of a trespassing incident.
9:47 p.m. BPD responded to a report of shoplifting.
Thursday, Dec. 29
2:07 a.m. A police officer initiated a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for first-offense DUI.
11:52 a.m. Officers took a report of a scam that resulted in theft.
12:15 p.m. Officers took a report regarding vehicle vandalism.
5:22 p.m. Officers responded to a non-injury crash
