BROOKINGS – The Bobcats fell 8-1 to Milbank and 9-0 to Yankton in a season-opening girls’ tennis triangular Thursday at Hillcrest.
Brookings plays at Mitchell on Monday at 11 a.m.

Isha Hooda picked up the lone victory for the Bobcats, defeating Alexis Ninneman 10-8 in No. 5 singles.
The Bulldogs’ Hallie Essington topped Skylor Ness 10-1 at No. 1. Essington and Hattie Muellenbach dropped Ness and Lynn Foster 10-2 in the No. 1 doubles match.
