BISMARCK, N.D. – The Blizzard beat the Bobcats 4-2 in an NAHL Central Division matchup Friday night at the VFW Sports Center for their second consecutive victory.
Ryan Green scored the go-ahead goal with 3:42 remaining. Luke Aquaro and Sam Antenucci assisted.
Kendrick Frost added an insurance goal with 1:22 showing on the clock, with assists going to Owen Belisle and Brady Bjork.
Brookings opened the scoring on Bjork’s tally 2:41 into the game. Belisle and Frost assisted.
Bismarck pulled even early in the second after Ryan Robinson lit the lamp. Mitchell Walinski was credited with the assist.
Brookings grabbed a 2-1 advantage later in the period as Bud Winter found the back of the net on a power play. Frost and Brendan Aird assisted.
Daniel Chladek’s power-play goal – assisted by Austin Jouppi and Alex Pollock – again knotted the score with 17:58 remaining in the game.
George McBey made 29 saves to earn the win in goal.
John Roberts stopped 36 shots for the Bobcats (18-14-1-0, 37 points).
Brookings, which won 2-0 at Austin on Saturday, improved to 5-27-2-1 (13 points).
The teams face off again tonight at 7:15 in Bismarck.
