BHS names 2019 royal court

BROOKINGS – Brookings High School will crown its 2019 lord and lady next Monday to kick off a week full of homecoming activities.

Homecoming coronation starts at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, in Jostad Gym with $1 entrance fee. It will be followed by the annual Burning of the B in the BHS south parking lot.

Students have a full schedule for Homecoming Week, Sept. 23-28, which includes dress-up days every day of the week. 

Other activities include a homecoming assembly, a cross-country invitational starting at 4 p.m. Thursday at Edgebrook Golf Course, a Friday afternoon pep assembly, a 7 p.m. Friday football game against Douglas-Box Elder with a BHS Band halftime performance at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium, and a 2:30 p.m. Saturday volleyball match against Huron at the BHS Auxiliary Gym.
