The 2021 All-State Jazz Band rehearsal and concert will be held at the Mitchell High School Performing Arts Center in Mitchell on May 6-8. The All-State Jazz Band musicians are divided into three separate bands with each band having its own guest conductor.
The members of the 2021 South Dakota All-State Jazz Band are selected through statewide competitive online auditions where the five All-State adjudicators judge each audition to select the top high school musicians in the state for the All-State Jazz Band.
The three bands will perform in a concert at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Two Brookings High School students, Noah Stremmel and Luke Bielfeldt, auditioned and were selected to perform in the combo band this weekend at the fine arts center May 8. The concert will be telecast on SDPBTV.
