BROOKINGS – The host Bobcats won nine events in the BHS Last Chance on Tuesday.
Brookings returns to track and field action with a dual at Harrisburg on Friday at 4 p.m.
Girls
Rachel Gannon, Ashton Scott and Erin Hulberg posted victories for the ‘Cats.
Gannon had a mark of 35 feet, 1 inch to win the triple jump. She was third in the long jump at 15-9.
Scott led a trio of Bobcats in the top three in the 1,600 meters with a time of 5 minutes, 48.38 seconds. Jenna York (5:48.65) was second and Addie Smetana (5:56.72) third.
Hulberg cleared 10 feet, 3 inches in the pole vault.
Brookings won the 4x200- (1:50.12) and 4x400-meter (4:17.44) relays.
Maddix Archer was runner-up in both the 200 (25.82) and 400 (1:00.04).
Tayla Dobrenski placed second in the 100-meter hurdles (15.71) and third in the high jump (4-9).
Adding second-place finishes were Gracie Adamson in the discus (104-7) and Haley Sampson in the shot put (35-7).
Taking third were Allie Clark in the 300 hurdles (48.56), Cherish Stern in the 800 (2:35.08), Claire Burns in the discus (97-8) and Sydney Grendler in the shot put (34-7 1/2).
Boys
Noah Bayer won the 200 with a 22.42-second clocking and was second in the 100 in 11.04.
Parker Theobald’s mark of 148-11 in the discus was good for first place, as he added a second-place showing in the shot put with a heave of 46-4.
Carter Johnson took the triple jump at 41-8.
BHS won the 4x400 in 3:43.67.
Sam Conrad was runner-up in the 1,600 – .23 off the pace with a 4:34.34 clocking.
Talon Everding placed second in the 800 (2:06.61) and third in the 1,600 (4:40.05).
