Welcome to spring. Just a reminder to attend the National Day of Prayer event.
People are gathering across our nation to pray for God’s wisdom and help for our country.
Our theme this year is from II Corinthians 3:17: “Lord, pour out your love, life and liberty.”
Our country was established as a federal republic 245 years ago.
For these years following our Declaration of Independence (July 4, 1776) our Constitution (1787), and Bill of Rights have been our final authority.
God’s word states, “Do not remove ancient landmarks.”
Our American foundation has been our laws to follow – that have proven to be “fair and just.” Prayer is as American as Thanksgiving turkey (Pilgrims landing in 1620) and mom’s apple pie. This tradition has been kept faithfully through the generations.
Please join us at the Brookings County Courthouse flag pole at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
