BROOKINGS – Altrusa of Brookings recently donated $1,000 to the Brookings School District Foundation, which was presented to the two head librarians in the district, Jean Kirschenman and Marilyn Medenhall, as well as Curriculum Director Michelle Vande Weerd.
The $1,000 was part of a larger donation.
The money will be split up amongst the elementary schools and will be used to fill Scholastic Book Club orders for at-risk students.
