SIOUX FALLS The Arlington girls came in second place and the Deubrook Area boys finished in third at the Class B State Track & Field Meet over the weekend.
Arlington
The Cardinals girls team finished with 51 points for the second place finish. Burke won the Class B girls meet with 58 points.
Chloe Raw led the way with two first place finishes. She won the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.05 and also won the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.24. Raw also came in second in the long jump with a jump of 16 feet and 10.25 inches.
Kaelyn Ulschmid came in fourth in the 3200 meter run (12:06.18) and fifth in the 1600 meter run (5:23.78).
Harley Johnson came in third in the javelin throw (114-04) and sixth in the long jump (16-02.25). Johnson, Halley Miller, Madi Bacon and Chloe Raw came in fourth in the 4×100 relay (51.52).
Jake Burns was the only one to make the podium on the boys side for the Cardinals. He came in fourth in the pole vault (11-03.00).
Deubrook Area
The Dolphin boys had 51.5 points to come in third. Gregory came in first (57) and Freeman Academy/Marion finished in second (55).
Deubrook won two relay races on the boys side. Jaxon Quail, Landen Johnson, Jake Jorenby and Gavin Landmark won the 4×400 meter relay (3:25.73) and Charlie Olsen, Johnson, Quail and Landmark won the 4×800 (8:17.67). J.P. Rogness, Johnson, Quail and Jorenby came in third in the 4×200 (1:32.94).
Landmark came in second in the 400 meter run (50.74) and third in the 800 meter run (2:04.76). Quail came in sixth in the 400 meter run (51.92) and Rogness came in seventh in the 100 meter dash (11.14). Jorenby came fifth in the triple jump (41-08.75) and seventh high jump (5-10.00). Jace Vomacka finished in eighth in the javelin (140-06).
On the girls side the team of Makenna Ekern, Kylee Johnson, Kadence Bowne and Nora Olsen won the 4×800 (9:47.11) and Akasha Gorecki, Bowne, Johnson and Olsen finished in second in the 1600 sprint medley relay (4:22.98). Olsen came in third in both the 800 meter run (2:21.93) and the 1600 meter run (5:19.12).
Colman-Egan
The Colman-Egan girls finished in fifth with 40 points. The team of Lanie Mousel, Elaina Rhode, Crystal Silvia-Dominguez and Daniela Lee won the 4×100 with a time of 50.88. Lanie Mousel, Finley Luze, Brynlee Landis and Daniela Lee came in second in the 4×200 (1:46.70) and Jolie Flatten, Finley Luze, Silvia-Dominguez and Landis came in third in the 4×400 (4:08.65).
Daniela Lee came in third in the 100 meter dash (12.45) and fifth in the 200 meter dash (26.72). Rhode came in seventh in the 100 meter hurdles (16.65).
The Colman-Egan boys came in eighth with 29 points. The Hawks didnt have any champions but had two relay teams come away with top-three finishes. The team of Christopher Lee, Jackson Zwart, Jase Mousel and Jack Mousel came in second in the 4×200 (1:32.24) and Jonny Keys, Jase Mousel, Christopher Lee and Jack Mousel came in third in the 4×100 (44.97).
Christopher Lee came in third in the 100 meter dash (11.12) and Jack Mousel came in eighth in the 200 meter dash (23.90). Jack Mousel came in third in the high jump (6-02.00). Jase Moiusel finished in sixth in both the long jump (20-08.25) and the triple jump (41-07.75).
Iroquois/Lake Preston
Adison Moore finished in the top five in three different races. She came in second in the 100 meter dash (12.44), third in the 200 meter dash (26.43) and fifth in the 400 meter run (1:00.86). Hadlee Holt came third in both the discus (130-05) and the shot put (37-05.75).
Oldham-Ramona-Rutland
Julia Trygstad came in eighth in the high jump (4-11.00) and Alivia Bickett came in eighth in the shot put (34-11.25).
