Marcie Dierks is an excellent choice for our Brookings School Board!
Ms. Dierks has a background in education, experience as a teacher, and knowledge that will enable her to make logical decisions enhancing student learning, assisting families, and supporting district staff. Working from her home in Brookings, she is currently employed as a science teacher with the Center for Statewide E-Learning through Northern State University.
I know Marcie to be a caring and sincere individual who will listen to issues presented and ask pertinent questions in order to make thoughtful decisions for our school and community. She works part-time for Interim Health of Brookings providing her clients with in home care and making sure they have a safe home environment. A testimonial to Marcie’s character can be found on the Interim Health of Brookings website. It reads:
“We were very impressed with how Marcie handled our family member’s seizure. Marcie made sure she was safe, the floor was cleared and even calmed down our grandson. We love Marcie and are thankful she is there.”
Marcie has the knowledge and integrity to be an outstanding school board member.

Anyone living in the Brookings School District is eligible to vote in the school board election. Early voting is underway at the Brookings City and County Government Center and election day is June 2. I encourage everyone who is eligible to get out and vote!
