Brookings church hosting quilting event on June 20

BROOKINGS — First Lutheran Church is hosting a quilting event on June 20.

At the “Tie One On” event the goal is to create 100 quilts for Lutheran World Relief.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall in the church’s basement at 337 Eighth St.

Organizers are accepting donations of fabric, sheets, cash or gift cards. Registration is requested to ensure an accurate count for coffee breaks and a sandwich lunch.
