Mark W. Tisland, 87, of Volga, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Madison Regional Health in Madison.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, at 11:30 a.m. at Sinai Lutheran Church in Sinai. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with burial following at East Sinai Cemetery with full military honors. A live stream Link will be provided on Thursday.

Mark Wendell Tisland was born on Sunday, March 12, 1939, to Carl and Hazel June Marie (Nelson) Tisland at the Kruse Maternity Home in Arlington, SD.

He was self-employed until October 1999, then worked for Rainbow Play Systems in Brookings and Daktronics, also in Brookings. Mark then worked for Scenic Concept of Lacrosse, WI, until he retired in 2016.

    Sorry to hear about Mark. I didn’t know him well but talked to him a few times at the office in Madison and enjoyed talking with him.
