BROOKINGS — On March 21, Brookings Area Habitat for Humanity welcomed the community to an evening of creativity, generosity, and impact at the Dacotah Bank Center for its annual Nail the Runway fundraiser, sponsored by Home Team 605.
With more than 200 tickets sold, the event drew a crowd eager to support Habitat’s mission while enjoying a one-of-a-kind runway experience. The evening blended fashion, artistry, and storytelling, all centered around beautifully crafted and highly detailed designs that showcased both talent and heart. Each piece that graced the runway reflected not only creativity, but also a deeper connection to the importance of safe, affordable housing in the Brookings community.
A highlight of the evening was the support from title sponsor Home Team 605, whose partnership helped bring the event to life . Their commitment, along with the generosity of numerous other sponsors and supporters, played a vital role in the evening’s success.
Guests were treated to a full night of entertainment, including a lively runway show, opportunities to participate in silent and live auctions, and the chance to gather in support of a shared cause. The energy in the room reflected a strong sense of community and a collective belief in Habitat’s mission.
Proceeds from the event will directly support Brookings Area Habitat for Humanity’s efforts to build and repair homes, providing local families with stability, independence, and a place to call their own.
Nail the Runway continues to grow each year, not only as a signature fundraising event, but as a celebration of what can be accomplished when a community comes together. Organizers expressed deep gratitude to attendees, sponsors, volunteers, and designers whose contributions made the night such a success.
As the runway lights dimmed and the evening came to a close, one thing was clear: the impact of the event will extend far beyond a single night—helping build stronger foundations for families across Brookings.
