BROOKINGS — Area residents have a chance to be the first two see a pair of music icons in concert.
Legendary blues rock performer ZZ Top and country music icon Dwight Yoakam are teaming up for “The Dos Amigos Tour 2026.”
The tour’s first stop is at the Dacotah Bank Center, 824 32nd Ave., in Brookings at 7 p.m. on March 26.
According to dosamigos.com, the event will be “a celebration of authentic American roots music that bridges rock, country, and blues traditions.”
ZZ Top, an inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, has sold more than 50 million records worldwide, according to the website. They have made timeless anthems like “Sharp Dressed Man,” “Legs,” and “Gimme All Your Lovin.’”
Yoakam is a country music legend who has sold more than 25 million albums and earned two Grammy Awards. He released his first new music in nine years with the release of “Brighter Days” in 2024, according to the website.
The event promises “an evening packed with decades of hits from both legendary acts.”
