In response to your column of Feb. 6, why did you not simply pay for the denied groceries, which offended you so greatly?

You wrote: “Society helps those who cannot help themselves.”

Society is a collection of individuals and you obiously failed in your individual responsibilityyou feel should be dispersed to others.
