SIOUX FALLS – The Brookings girls’ basketball team snapped an 11-game losing streak on Thursday night as the Bobcats beat Sioux Falls Lincoln 55-16.
Brookings led 11-8 at the end of the first quarter. The ‘Cats then outscored the Patriots 26-3 in the second quarter and took a 37-11 lead into halftime. Brookings held Lincoln to just five points in the second half. The Bobcats scored 15 points in the third and three points in the fourth.
Tessa Connot led the Bobcats with 15 points and seven rebounds. She was 7-of-10 at the free throw line. Taylee Connot had 13 points. Sloan McLagan had 12 points and five assists.
Brookings is now 2-11 on the season. The Bobcats will play at Sioux Falls Roosevelt on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
