TULSA, Okla. The South Dakota State soccer team is heading to the NCAA Tournament for a third-straight season as the Jackrabbits beat Oral Roberts 2-0 in the Summit League Tournament championship on Sunday.
SDSU scored once in each half to earn the victory. Ellie Gusman took a pass from Mia Bosch in the center of the box and shot it over the goalies head and into the back of the net to make it 1-0 eight minutes into the game.
The Jacks kept that lead until the 72nd minute when Adrianne Agbayani shot it to the left of the keeper to make it 2-0. Agbayani was assisted by Hailee Christensen.
SDSU had eight shots and two were on goal. The Jacks had six corner kicks and 12 fouls. The Golden Eagles had four corners and 14 fouls.
Gusman had two shots and one was on goal. Agbayanis lone shot was her goal. Jenna Maloy had two shots and Renny Buchana, Brianna Finnegan and Christensen each had one shot.
SDSU will learn who it will play on Monday afternoon during the NCAA Tournament Selection Show that starts at 3 p.m.
